The property is well maintained, all of the residents that we have met are friendly, and the location is perfect. It's only about a 15 min. drive to Madison or Middleton, but there is plenty to offer here in Waunakee as well, such as the trails right outside of the property to walk, jog, or ride a bike.
Now, focusing on the apartments themselves, they are spacious and have modern updated decor and have full size name brand appliances . We haven't heard much, if any noise from neighbors, and as stated before, everyone that I have met or ran into in the hallway or parking garage, have been extremely friendly.
Moving onto maintenance and property staff-they have been excellent. Whenever I have been in contact with our property manager Anna, she is pleasant, helpful and always has the answer to my question or gets back to me in a timely matter .
We are definitely glad to call the Laurel at Kilkenny home.

|Recommended: YesOverall, Pretty Nice — The look of this building is gorgeous, and it comes with all of the amenities you would need living in Wisconsin hello, heated indoor parking . That said, there are a few small things I've noticed after living here for a few months that I think need to be addressed ASAP for a luxury residence. First, the exercise room definitely isn't cleaned daily. If you're going to have things like communal yoga mats, I think someone needs to disinfect everything each morning. Additionally, some exterior maintenance issues could be improved. Someone ran into the garage door on my building, and it went 2 months without being repaired. Not the biggest deal, but again, I expect way more out of a luxury building. Lastly, the apartments are beautiful, but the doors are AWFUL The handles are so finicky and break so easily. That said, they keep sound out for the most part.
Again, overall, I love living here I just wish some of these small things could be taken care of so that the rent felt like it was really going towards keeping the building up.
|Recommended: YesReview — There don’t seem to be very strict restrictions when it comes to pets. There are constantly pet accidents in the elevator and loud barking in the middle of the night and early morning that keeps you up or restricts you from sleeping.
Though the maintenance staff was timely when fixing things in my apartment, they did not fix everything and have yet to be back to finish this was about 2 weeks ago .
Though the office staff is prompt during the week, they are very unhelpful unavailable on the weekend even when important problems such as internet outages happen. We have not had internet all weekend and have not received any information on how or when it will be back up due to it being the weekend. This is very frustrating especially since we rely so much on the internet to work.
Overall it is a fine apartment building, very modern and clean, but there are definitely some issues that need to be addressed.

|Recommended: NoBeautiful -- but noise is a problem. — It's really beautiful, and a bargain for the finishes and space if you're willing to just be a little outside of downtown Madison, and Waunakee . I've lived in several newer apartment buildings in my life, and even older ones that had better sound insulation. I can't always tell if it's coming from beside, below, the hallway, or if there's a ghost and it's coming from inside the apartment -- it's that bad. It's unfortunate as it's very beautiful and priced right.
