submitted by Jerome R. - |Recommended: YesLiving in Henry Gilmans Apartments — My wife and I enjoy living here, but there are times when we feel uncomfortable requesting maintenance while we’re inside our apartment. The maintenance staff often comes across as rude or unapproachable. Overall, Henry Gilman Apartments is a good place to live, except for our experience with the maintenance staff.
submitted by Juan L. - |Recommended: YesEverything is great except for the noise problem — The door doesn't insulate sound, so the noises in the corridor can be heard clearly. The fraternities and sororities around often hold parties until midnight, which can be quite disturbing to sleep. Other than that, this apartment is really great.
submitted by Stephen P. - |Recommended: NoCancelled work order requests — I don’t understand why you would cancel open work requests without any reasoning explanation From a professional standpoint that is so substandard, but not acceptable in especially when one of which is a clear fire hazard that would jeopardize the safety of all the residents. Apparently this is the second time these request have been “cancelled “ without any explanation” Is this the standard If so that’s the reason I “would not recommend “

submitted by Han L. - |Recommended: NoDisappointed moving conditions — When I first entered the door, a choking smell of smoke rushed into my nose. Dust and stains visible to the naked eye on the desktop, visible stains in the refrigerator, yellow under the toilet lid, clothes left here by who knows who inside the cupboard, and dirt falling on the floor - is this what you call 100 Ready at Move In, Guaranteed The most terrible thing is that the chandelier is filled with the corpses of mosquitos and other insects. I am so disappointed.
submitted by Cheng V. - |Recommended: YesReview — There were damages but i took images. The cleanliness was not good. There were crumbs and damage in quite a few places.

submitted by Marcus T. - |Recommended: YesNot bad — A bit expensive for what you are paying for but overall it is quite nice
submitted by Sami K. - |Recommended: YesExcellent — I love the actual apartment and the area around it. Many places on a walking distance. Quiet and clean.
submitted by Alistair R. - |Recommended: YesConvenient and helpful. Has some dated aspects within apt — The lobby and hallway on my floor, at least is very clean. Sometimes the hallway and lobby smell like cigarettes, but I can't figure out if that's what is really it. Music from neighbors can only be heard in the hallway, which doesn't bother me, but it's also never in an apt next to mine. The cupboards, toilet, and bathroom sink are dated, and so is the microwave that comes with the apartment. The water pressure in the bathroom is a bit low, as it takes 10 seconds for the toilet to flush, but I have yet to complain about that to the building. AC's are dated but work fine and add character. The building looks like a soviet block and the porch reflects this, but you get used to it. It's not a big deal. I'm listing a lot of negatives, but it is a really nice building with nice neighbors, and I feel safe as well. All in all, 4 5, I'd say.
