submitted by Alejandro H. - |Recommended: NoNice building, but wouldn't recommend it — I'm paying a lot of money for rent, I'd expect to have working air conditioning , but no, seems impossible. Can't even count the amount of times I' had to go to the main lobby to get the ac looked at. It's a very nice building, but for the price I'm paying I'd expect away more

submitted by Caleb J. - |Recommended: YesI like it, but it's more expensive than I would like. — It's nice. It's usually pretty quiet, but the extra facilities are nice i.e. pool, work-out area, etc. . The service from the employees is always really good. It is pretty expensive, though, if you don't share a room.
submitted by Brad R. - |Recommended: NoA decent place to live, but with compromises. — Overall, my experience has been decent, but not great. One of the most frustrating parts of living here is the abysmal maintenance. There were numerous problems in our apartment when we first moved in. The doorknob latch on our front door was broke, the entire doorknob on my bedroom was loose, and there was a loose outlet. the kitchen had stains on the ceiling, and it appeared as if no one had cleaned the microwave since the last tenants moved out. There was also a good amount of back mold growing in the caulk in the shower. The elevators are slow and unreliable. One of the elevators by my room has been out of service for 99 of the time I've lived here, and the one next to it goes out of service at least once a week. It isn't uncommon for me to find the elevator not working when I push the button, so I'd have to walk to the next set of elevators. Overall, I can't say I'd recommend this place to anyone until they replace their elevators and do a better job of maintaining the apartments before new tenants move in.

submitted by Magnus F. - |Recommended: NoNot top-tier, not rock-bottom — I personally don't care that much of how a temporary apartment is, but i care about what you get for the amount of money you pay. The regent is a decent place to live. The fall semester makes it worth it, living right in the middle gamedays and tailgates. Spring semester is decent to, but in the shadow of the low-quality furniture compared to other housing options in Madison. Though we lived in an older unit classic , anyone would expect a functioning apartment at all times. For 580, you're living alright. However, compared to other apartment buildings, you don't get any extra amenities i.e. pool, spa, tanning room like other places have. That would be more expensive too, but such places are also closer to state street.
submitted by Andrew T. - |Recommended: YesI think this property is great place to live in. — I would say that it is a friendly environment, with a lot of diversity and awesome staff who help you out with any of your problems. Love the regent.
submitted by April H. - |Recommended: YesOverall a pretty good apartment — Not soundproofed at all, can easily hear outside noise, doors don't go all the way down to the floor so inside sound travels sometimes not from apartment to apartment but from hallway to apartment and living room to bedrooms . Rooms for one person are a really good size. Kitchen is small, but works for two people. Overall a nice, cozy apartment. PARKING IS RIDICULOUSLY PRICED this is my only real complaint
