|Recommended: YesIt needs some updating, but it is still very nice — I would say it needs some upgrading in the apartments and hallways, but it is okay to live in for the school year.
|Recommended: YesThe property has great amenities that are perfect if you want to hangout with friends or do schoolwork — I really enjoy living at the Regent. The apartments are spacious, the rooms are a good size even if you want to share , and the common spaces downstairs are well-kept. The location is very close to Trader Joes, Union South, the Engineering Mall, and Camp Randall, but if you know you prefer to be closer to State Street and the Capital Southeast area , the walk can get annoying especially in the cold . However, there is a beautiful bike path in the back of the building that leads to Lake Monona and it is close to many parks and neighborhoods.
|Recommended: YesA great place to live — There is a nice community of students and I really like the location. I've really liked living here.
|Recommended: YesGood value and very helpful — The staff were very helpful when we were looking for a place to rent.
|Recommended: NoIt's average and a bit frustrating — It's definitely not what we expected. We were placed into a Dorm at Regent' program that we had not signed up for, in fact, we moved out of the dorms because we hated dorm life and wanted the independence of an apartment. We can hear our neighbors too well, we can hear them talking at a normal volume when we are in our bedrooms. The central heating system is also very frustrating because we find that it's kept at way too high of a temperature and makes the apartment uncomfortably warm. The staff is very friendly and helpful though which is always a good thing.
|Recommended: YesGreat apartment — It’s clean and the building is relatively quiet for being right next to Randall stadium
|Recommended: YesIt's alright — Its lit
|Recommended: YesNo comment — I have not stayed at the Regent yet.
|Recommended: NoWater quality and the noise — I have lived here for two years and the water quality has been very terrible since last year. I use a water filter pitcher, and inside it I often see grease and dirt, which are sediment of the tap water. I seriously doubt the potential health impact such water can have on human.
Also I often hear the very loud noise often music from the Sconnie Bar on the Regent Street, even at 2 or 3 am when I am asleep. Right now I am living in Room 317 and I can often hear big sound of parties singing, laughing from the upper floor.
|Recommended: YesNo complaints, nice place — A solid place. The front desk is open often and if you have an issue someone will come and help you immediately. Also I appreciate that the Regent does semester-long leases as well as academic year-long ones.
|Recommended: YesHighly recommended — Other than the fact that some places are sticky, it is a highly cost-efficient place to live. It has everything needed.
|Recommended: YesGreat — There's pretty much always parking available whenever I look and you can't really hear your neighbors from your unit. Maintenance can be requested and they do requests in a timely manner, but they are a bit slower right now due to the pandemic. Hallways, common areas, entrances, etc. are always clean and everyone is very professional at the desk. Air conditioning is provided in the living room but bedrooms tend to get hot quickly. Water tastes weird so it's best to by a filter or have bottled water.
|Recommended: YesNice building, apartments are a little out dated — The apartments are a little outdated, the appliances and bathroom mainly. The common areas are really nice, they are great places to meet up with friends to study or just talk. The staff members are all really nice but maintenance sometimes takes longer my garbage disposal didn't work and the sink basically stopped draining for about a week until they filled my request .
The laundry is free so that's nice.
|Recommended: YesIt's a little lackluster but not terrible — Just check out the apartment you're going to live in, that's all. Make sure there's no standing water in your dishwasher.
|Recommended: YesGreat — Great
